Leather is a durable material, but it thrives with proper care. Whether it’s your favorite wallet, backpack, or belt, a little maintenance goes a long way. Start by keeping your leather dry—avoid soaking it, and if it does get wet, let it air dry naturally. Never use a heater. Regularly brush off dust with a soft cloth and clean with a leather-safe cleaner when needed. Conditioning is key—apply a small amount of leather conditioner every few months to prevent drying and cracking. Store leather items in a cool, dry place, preferably in a breathable cotton bag—not plastic. Avoid overexposure to direct sunlight, which can discolor and dry the leather. For scuffs or stains, gently rub with your fingers (natural oils help!) or use a tiny bit of conditioner. With care, your leather pieces will not only survive—they’ll age beautifully, developing a patina that tells your story.
